Falasarna - Olive Tree Museum of Vouves- Oil & Wine tasting

This daytrip takes you to Falassarna bay, to enjoy one of the best beaches you will see in your life. On our way to Falasarna, we will make two quick stops First stop will be the Olive Tree museum of Vouves.

The museum is housed in a traditional building, which maintains all the characteristics of an austere and, at the same time, authentic, intelligent, and functional folk architecture of this area Moreover, it is located in a primarily olive-producing area, in the mountainous region of this Municipality. Columbary olive oil is produced in this region: a famous, award-winning olive oil that is considered as one of the best in the world.
The Olive Museum Vouves has the great privilege of being located near the Monumental Olive Tree of Vouves, the oldest olive tree in the world, 3000-5000 years old, with a trunk circumference of 12.50 m and a diameter of 4.60 m.

The second stop will be at a local factory and there you can tasty olive oil and Cretan wines continuing our tour, we finally arrive Falasarna bay, which is one of the most famous beaches in Europe. Except from the combination of white sand with crystal blue waters, there you will have free time to enjoy the beach and have a swim if you wish. Lunch will be “a la carte” at the local tavern “Perogiali” with amazing view of the sea.
